Equipment/Method:
- Trollers are small fishing vessels operated by one or two fishermen and use a number of lines and hooks baited with herring or artificial lures
- Fish are caught one at a time, and handled individually
- If the vessel has freezing capability, the fish will be blast-frozen much the way it is ashore, dipped in fresh water to form an ice glaze and placed carefully in the hold
Catch:
- Targets Coho and King salmon
- These fish are very high in quality, as the fish are handled individually and with the utmost care from the time they leave the water until delivered to the retailer’s door
